the word out about the garage sale!

Exciting NEWS !!!

All staff have clearance certificates from the local police.Their goal is to ensure that you and your family enjoy your refreshments in a safe and healthy environment.

More Exciting news

This year, they will be giving everyone who contributes a $10 off coupon that can be used at any Salvation Army Thrift store. Denis, the truck driver, will not be here this year. He has been part of the sale for 8 years. He will be greatly missed. Please join me in welcoming Imperiel as this year's volunteer for the garage sale.

Let's talk About The Weather

This is always a hot topic nearing garage sale day as everyone wants the weather to be nice. I have to admit that the last few years have been a bit iffy. However, The Weather Network says that it is going to be Sunny and 24 Degrees. That sounds just about perfect!

So, let's all keep our fingers and toes crossed that it will be a glorious day on Saturday!

Talk to you tomorrow and please let me know if you or anyone you know is doing something special for Garage Sale this year. Happy to post it.

Four More Days Until Garage Sale !!!

What is a Narwhal ?????

Eneli is a grade six student who loves helping animals. She was introduced to the charity Earth Rangers in school and has collected money in recent years at the street sale to help the Jefferson Salamander, The Spotted Turtle, and the polar bear. This year she is directing the money she collects from her sale to the World Wildlife Fund to help the Narwhal.

Eneli has been hard at work during the past four weeks creating colourful candles and imaginative greeting cards. She will be baking delicious muffins the day prior and looks forward to seeing you at the sale!

Bake Sale and BBQ at 33 Pepler Avenue!

18 Days Left Until Garage Sale!

Yasmin Burt has a huge bake sale and BBQ at her house during garage sale every year. It is always well received. People get there early to make sure they get their favorites as Yasmin really knows how to bake! Best of all, the proceeds go to charity!

Yasmin was asked how long she has been participating in garage sale and how much she has raised for Wellspring and she responded with the following;

Dear Lynn,

I have been doing My annual Bake Sale for  Wellspring since 2008.
So far, I have raised $7,860.00 which has been donated to them.

This year,I will be having my usual variety of loaves, assorted cookie famous
dates squares. brownies, cupcakes and more. Also, in addition to that, I will be having hotdogs, hamburgers and drinks.

It's such a heartwarming gesture doing this for Wellspring.
They have been there for me when I needed the support.

Thank you, Lynn for all that you're doing.

Thank You Yasmin for giving so much back !!!
You are a very special person and very much appreciated by this community
for all your hard work over the years.
